Encouragement about Online Giving:
We strongly encourage the responsible use of credit cards. Proverbs 22:7 says "...the borrower is servant to the lender" and credit cards can cause many people to struggle financially, so please give wisely and in response to God's caution about incurring debt.
Giving @ Faith
As followers of Jesus, we seek to Love God and Love People - even with our finances. Psalm 24 reveals that
"the Earth is the Lord's and everything in it...", and throughout His Word God encourages us to be faithful caretakers as well as generous, joyful givers of His resources. In fact, God set the ultimate example of how to give by the sacrificial giving of His very own Son (Eph. 5:2).
We offer five ways to give in response to God's Word and work at Faith:
1. In Person: During any weekend service or at our Welcome Center in the Atrium throughout the week.
2. Via Mail: Send your gift to Faith Chapel, 517 Shiloh Road, Billings, MT 59106
3. Regular Bill Pay: Setup a regular contribution to be paid directly from your checking or savings account (see your bank for availability and details).
4. Stock/mutual funds or estate giving: Please call us at 655.1558
5. Online: Choose to either setup regularly scheduled giving or make a one-time gift, currently using your debit, Visa, Mastercard or echeck.
Online Giving: Frequently Asked Questions
Can I try this by giving one time?
Sure. Select "One Time" in the frequency drop-down box.
What is a contribution schedule?
This is similar to a subscription. You can choose how often you would like an automatic donation to be made
-weekly, every two weeks, or monthly.
Which giving option is best?
The short answer: whatever works best for you! You may be interested to know that using your bank’s scheduled bill pay or our e-check option means that the maximum amount of your gift gets to Faith Chapel, while the credit card option requires us to pay a small percentage fee for each gift. Either way, we appreciate your giving, so choose the one that is right for you.
How does this work?
Click the "Create Account" link and enter your information to set up your account. After that, you can make a one-time contribution, set up recurring contributions or view your online giving history. You can designate if your gift is for tithe, building fund, or Billings and Beyond (missions). (Please allow 1-2 business days to link your new account to your member records.)
If we want to encourage people to stay out of debt, why does Faith Chapel accept credit card donations?
Used with care debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people utilize them in place of checks or cash throughout the month, and then pay off the balance in full. For these people, we offer the option of using a debit or credit card to give. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising this option. Proverbs 22:7 says "...the borrower is servant to the lender" and credit cards can cause many people to struggle financially, so please give wisely and in response to God's caution about incurring debt.
Should I tithe off my gross earnings or the net amount of my paycheck?
Scripture doesn't use the literal terms "net" or "gross." In the Old Testament they tithed from the
"gross" of their produce. It's our belief we should tithe from our gross,
including the gross of our company if we're a business owner, but what's most
important to note that the spirit in which we give is of greatest value to God.
He tells us in 2 Corinthians 9 that "each man should give what he has decided in
his heart to give; not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful
giver."
Is it secure?
All debit or credit card information you enter and store for online giving is secured. No one has access to your data unless authorized by you.
Can I get a refund?
